1. Winter clothes sorting: We put down a pile of clothes on the rug. A kid has to choose one, then name it and put it down the way we wear it (for example: pullover goes under the coat).
2. Mittens and gloves “hunt”: We hid some gloves and mittens all around the room. The children have to find them, one mitten/glove per kid, then come back to the rug. If they have a mitten, they have to jump 5 times, if they have a glove then clap 3 times.
3. Snowky Pokey: We do the well known hokey pokey song in a winter theme. “You put your right mitten in. You put your right mitten out. You put your right mitten in and shake it all about. Do the snowky pokey and you turn yourself around. Brrrr! (shiver) That’s what it’s all about!” (left mitten, right boot, left boot, your hat)
